An original Mid Century oil on board of a white washed Southern European house in a country landscape in the Mid Century Modern style. Circa 1952.

The artist has used influences of cubism to use blocks of strong colour to emphasise the different shapes to create perspective and depth.

Notes on the artist:
Alvar Lundin, born in 1894 in Sweden. Studied at the Valand Art Academy from 1930-1933 and went on to travel extensively, painting landscapes in Paris and Spain in 1933, 1938, 1950 and 1952. The artist’s works are held in the national museums of Sweden.
