Delivery is FREE within mainland UK. We ship weekly to the USA and Europe. Please enter your address at checkout for the calculated cost. For all other destinations worldwide please message me through the contact form for an accurate shipping quote. I strive to be as economical as possible by using a trusted courier broker.
Delivery Information and Terms
I carefully pack then ship all orders using a trusted courier service such as FedEx/DHL; often with a three day delivery schedule, even to the USA. Please note courier collections are often on a Monday with delivery scheduled for that week, the courier firms used do not collect or deliver at weekends or public holidays.
I will send you a tracking link and I need to provide the courier firm with your mobile/cell number for delivery/customs queries.
Please monitor the tracking for delays or rescheduled delivery alerts, so you can ensure someone will be available for delivery or provide a workplace address. Deliveries need to be handed over and cannot be arranged to be left in porches/on doorsteps.
If the delivery is returned due to delivery not being possible, then unfortunately you will be liable for the cost of re-sending due to the high cost of sending pictures. This has never happened as of yet, so be assured the process works if a contact cell phone number is provided.
Plein Air Vintage Art is not liable for any delays incurred in the shipment of orders or customs/duties charged.
Duties and Local Sales Taxes
Plein Air Vintage Art is based in the UK and all shipments are sent from here. If buying from overseas you as the purchaser are liable for any duties/local sales taxes. I have to pass on your cell phone/email address to the courier for delivery/duties notifications. I use Fedex, DHL, TNT and UPS. Overseas shipments are entered as ‘Works of Art’ for customs purposes.
Damages and Returns
Please contact me if you have any problems with your painting or delivery. My absolute aim is to ensure that you are happy and I would appreciate the opportunity to resolve any problems so please message me and I'll get straight back. Please look carefully at the photos and be aware you are buying a vintage/antique picture. Return delivery costs are to be arranged and paid for by the buyer.
If the item arrives with damage incurred during the delivery process, please take photos at the point of unwrapping the picture and keep all packaging. Please message me on the same day so I can immediately contact the courier company.
Vintage Art Note
Please note that each painting is an original and is vintage (under 100 years) or antique (over 100 years) each piece has travelled through the years - plus many hands - so will stylishly display its age. Do read the description and look at the photos carefully.
The vintage frames are an addition to the painting and I include these for free when you purchase a painting, so please be aware you are buying the picture and I cannot guarantee the frame. If you do not wish to be sent the frame with the painting then do let me know.
Packaging
I re-use boxes and as much internal packaging as possible for shipment to reduce the environmental impact and shipping cost. Getting your picture safely to you is the priority so please be aware it will not be beautifully gift wrapped but will arrive safely. Tip: Take extra time and care when unwrapping your picture.

Whenever possible I will do this for you before sending your artwork.
Safety
If you choose to hang your picture or when handling your picture/purchase this is your responsibility and I hold no liability for damage or injury incurred. I would advise seeking the advice of a professional to choose the correct weight wall fixings and to hang your picture should you require assistance.
