The Artist’s Studio

An absolutely beautiful oil on board in the most expressive detail of an artist working in his studio. The paint pots and brushes sit collected on the work table; a large picture window frames the scene with views to buildings beyond. All painted in the impressionist style with a soft colour palette of blues, yellows, greys and pinks.

About the artist:
Rosen was born in Sweden in 1908, and studied at the Royal Institute of Art.
His works are held in the collections of The British Museum, London; the National Museum, Sweden and the National Gallery of Art, Washington.
