A Mid Century Swedish small Still Life of light from a window cast across a table set with a glass vase of flowers.

The artist has used a darker palette of violet hues with lighter shades to cast a clear light from the window; fast, spontaneous brushstrokes cleverly creating the relaxed impressionist style to a normally traditional still life subject, capturing a moment in time.

Notes on the artist ~ Brita Wallin, born in 1915 in the beautiful coastal town of Smögen, Sweden; studied in Rostrup Boyesen, Copenhagen and at Ecole Paul Colin, Paris; S. Barth's Painting School and Anders Beckman Stockholm. Visited England and France to further her craft.
