Rooftops to the Sea - A vintage oil on board painting by the Scottish artist James Proudfoot (1908-1971). The artist has built the oils to create a textured finish to the painting, creating an atmospheric scene reminiscent of a summer's day where the sea meets the sky.

The artist studied at Perth Academy, then Heatherley's School of Fine Art, Goldsmith's School of Art and Paris. Arts Club and Chelsea Arts Club member, Member and exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy.

•The painting is in very good vintage condition and is beautifully framed - please note the frame is heavy.
