Paris - An Original Vintage Painting of Paris Circa 1950 - Framed Oil on Canvas

A Mid Century oil on canvas, Circa 1950, by the French artist Blanche Duhennoy - of the Pont du Carrousel - spanning the River Seine in the heart of Paris with figures crossing this scenic bridge.

The artist captures the evening light reflected in the water and the bustle of Paris with figures passing over the bridge. The raised impasto highlights the clouds scudding over the blue sky.

The painting is signed to front and titled to the reverse Pont St. Peres - the original name of the bridge.

The French artist Blanche Duhennoy was born at the beginning of the 20th Century, her paintings were included in exhibitions in the 1920s at the Salon des Artistes Français.
