A vintage original Scandinavian original oil painting dated 1932 of light filtering through a window on a Spring/Summer day, painted in the impressionist style by listed Swedish artist Gunnar Lundstom.

What I like about the painting - a classic impressionist Scandinavian interior scene. The painting has a fresh feel with the light falling through and onto white cotton - contrasting against shadow. A glimpse of the vibrant green of nature outside the window, provides perspective, leading the eye past the flat, grey/blue of the wall panelling. The artist has captured small interior details - a framed painting hung above the wall panelling; a plant pot on the table and a pine chair missing a rung sits on a striped rug.

•Oil on canvas in good vintage condition.
