An original mid century still life of a bouquet of flowers in a pottery vase painted in the expressionist style Circa 1940/50 by the listed Scandinavian modern artist Erik Brandt b.1910.

The artist captures nature in a highly textured, fluid composition evocative of Summer blooms. The natural background almost merges with the subject. A highly decorative and romantic painting.

Notes on the artist: Erik Brandt b.1910, studied in Paris, Normandy and Brittany. Listed Scandinavian modern artist.
