A vintage original oil painting by the accomplished Spanish artist, Josep Olivet Legares (1885-1956).

An impressionist plein air sketch of a golden sweeping landscape with figures gathering the harvest; blue-haze hills frame the distant view beneath a cloud-studded late-summer sky.

Josep Olivet Legares received his formal artistic training at the Gali Academy in Barcelona, he travelled to Italy and throughout Spain honing his skills as an impressionist painter. Legares specialised in landscape views and port scenes, painting with a confident, warm impasto technique.
