ON HOLD An oil on canvas painting of a landscape in the expressionist style by the listed Swedish artist Lars Bertle (born 1925).

The artist has created a spontanteous composition of a stylised landscape using a bold, confident technique, working quickly layering bold tones. White trunks and golden leaves of birch trees sit in the foreground and the earthy tones of a hillside in the distance with blue and violet sky above.
