A stunning mid century painting capturing the atmospheric beauty and light filled haze created by the eucalyptus forest of The Blue Mountains, in New South Wales.

Notes on the artist: Howard Barron (1900-1991) Born and educated in England, he later travelled to Australia where he stayed for 21 years. The artist painted landscapes in Australia and was commissioned to paint portraits of Winston Churchill after the Second World War.
During his career he exhibited at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, London. His works are currently held in the collection of the Imperial War Museum, Canberra.
