Artist’s Studio Still Life - Mid Century Modern Vintage Painting - A Scandinavian Oil on Board Dated 1953

A mid century modern Scandinavian semi abstract of an artist’s studio still life setting - a blue pottery jug with a lemon and apple set before a landscape painting by the same artist. Signed and dated ‘53 (1954).

An excellent example of Scandinavian mid century modern painting; the combination of a strong, bold composition with the shared colour palette of the still life objects in the foreground and the artist’s landscape painting hanging behind, are all perfectly contained by the almost square original vintage frame.
